Importance of Early Education among the children.

Have we ever thought of whats the importance of early education among the children?
Well in my opinion,
It is very important to expose the children with the education in their early ages. Its to make sure that they can learn in sort of much appropriate ways. As we all know, parents nowadays mostly are busy working and they have to send their children to kindergarten. Well, in kindergarten, these children will be teach on simple education basis such as getting a deeper view on colours, numbers, how to use pencils, etc.... Everyone is for education and education is for everyone. No discrimination and fairness to everyone.

Although, in my own personal point of view, parents will be the best teachers for their children. But, despite that parents are quiet busy working so why not use the opportunity to send your children to get their early education in so many kindergarten and pre-schools offered nowadays.

The boy in this picture is one of the students in Permata Pintar, UKM. One of the pre-school that offers early children education. Here in one of the most prestigious universities in Malaysia,  these kids are well enough to be taking care of some dedicated teachers. :D

What is Psycholinguistics ?

WHAT IS PSYCHOLINGUISTICS?

Studying the composition of Psycholinguistics.

What is Psycholinguistics? hmmm,... 

Thats a big question here for me. Like what my other friends said, it is the combination of two words which are Psychology and Linguistics. Therefore, from my understanding, psycholinguistics means a study of human's diverse attitudes and its relation with the language acquisition. 

I think, it is really relateable in the context of teaching English as the second language. As we all know, English is not our first language. Yet, for some people, English might be their third language or even fourth like me. So, as a future teacher, we should learn how to control someone's attitude in the classroom. Noted here that, English will be not everyone's favourite subject. By learning this course, we will be later exposed on how to make it fun and to attract everyone's attention in the classroom. To deal with students' attitudes nowadays is not that easy. Students of the 21st century are unpleasantly unpredictable. We, as the future teachers or educators should concern ourselves and to give our best to make English as a fun subject so that everyone can learn it in a sort of fun and entertaining condition. Hence, this will improve and make the teaching and learning process in the classroom runs smoothly.

Beside vs. Besides

Asalamualaikum and Hello everyone,
I was facing a problem before this on distinguishing "beside" and "besides". I bet, some of you also might be facing this kind of problem these days, right?
Hence, i would like to share what i found on the internet ! 

First of all,
**Beside
The word beside is a preposition. It means close to or next to.

Beside = next to.

Example, if u wish to say about something that stands next to you, you should probably have said, 
      " Adam was standing beside me during the choir competition.."

Examples:

• Come and sit beside me. 
• Your hat is beside the dog basket. 

Meanwhile, 
**Besides
The preposition besides means in addition to or apart from.  As an adverb, it means furthermore or and another thing.

Besides = apart from / and another thing

Example, if u wish to say another point of a similar thing, you should probably have said,
      " Besides smoking, drinking caffein also not good to our health.."

Examples:

• Besides Craig, who else caught a bass? 
(Besides is a preposition in this example. Apart from Craig, who else...)
• Besides, it's not just about determination. 
(Besides is an adverb in this example. Furthermore, it's not just...)

In this thread, i would like to share #myTeachingAids,  "The Pronoun Roller"...

taaaaa daaaaa  :D

Overall, this is not an idea from me. That Pronoun Chart actually i printed from google and then transformed it into something that is unique and more creative by turning it from only a paper sheet into something that can be rolled. Basically, you can make more roller like this instead of using pronoun as the main information, but you can use other English language part of speech such as tenses and phrases.

How to use this?

Let me teach you. 

As you can see from the picture, 

This thing can be rolled. So, what you see in the picture is that, for the 1ST PERSON, the SUBJECT PRONOUN would be "I", and for the OBJECT PRONOUNS would be "me" and it goes from left to the right following its category respectively.

As you can see, there are so many categories in this roller that you can just by simply rolling the straw, you can get the information in creative and fun way of learning.

Hope this thingy will help you out to remember  well for the exams and also for your general knowledge.

Asalamualaikum and Hello everyone,
This is my teaching aids (BBM=Bahan Bantu Mengajar) , i called it "The Pronoun Roller",

So, basically i just print out the layout or the picture of Pronoun Chart from the internet.

And then, i use scissor to cut the paper into the part that only i need.

And here it looks like once it has been cut-off.

After that, i put some glue to the bottom part of the paper.

Next, roll the paper into a cylinder shape like this.

And then, using another A4 paper, make another cylinder and put the 1st cylinder into the bigger one's. But make sure, to stick a straw into the first cylinder so that you can roll it up and easier for you to handle it.

And here it looks like once you put both cylinders together.

You can barely put in and out the first cylinder at anytime.

And now, you are totally ready to let the "The Pronoun Roller" to do the "workout"!

Therefore, let's be creative and live colourfully.
